What you need to know before travelling

Everything you need to know about getting to Tabarca

Tabarca is a small island, 1,800 metres in length, situated off the coast of Santa Pola (Alicante). Solo se puede acceder por mar. Estos son los puntos clave que deberías tener en cuenta al planificar tu visita.

Santa Pola, the key port

95% of ferries to Tabarca depart from the port of Santa Pola. It is the quickest (20 mins), cheapest (from €19) and offers the most departures per day.

Season determines timetables

In summer (June–September), there are departures every 30 minutes. In the low season, services are reduced to 2–3 a day. It is advisable to check before setting off.

Return journey

Most ferry companies allow you to buy a return ticket for the same day or the following day. Booking online is usually cheaper than buying at the ticket office.

Options by city

Alicante, Benidorm and Torrevieja also have direct services in the summer, although less frequently. The other towns can be reached via Santa Pola by car or public transport.
