The creation of this image arose from a chance occurrence just a year before.
Leaving the island after a reportage in the late hours of a hot evening, that full moon would surprise me rising behind the lighthouse, while I was driving away with the Tabarquera, falling in love instantly.
As I could not take that photo, I had to plan well the next opportunity. This only happens in summer, so I had to wait a whole year, the long-awaited month of July. And there I stood, in the middle of the Tabarquino countryside, with only company, the sailboats in the bay that were there to enjoy the views.
The light began to fall, and a pink glow prior to the moonrise that began to emerge in a maximum expectation, in a silence that was only broken by the shouts and applause of the crews of the boats, which have direct view to the horizon, and therefore saw the moonrise before me.
The moment is thrilling, the color in the middle of the night, it`s amazing. And suddenly, there it is, appearing in the predicted spot.
I loved this moment.
